Products: Mc90 SetI sincerely enjoyed working with Vitus Pickups. The finished result—the MC90s—completely revoiced my daily driver guitar.
They’ve got the clarity, warmth, and midrange punch I’ve always chased, and now it finally feels like the guitar is a true extension of my voice when I step away from the microphone to take a lead. Mark really took the time to understand what I was after and absolutely nailed it—delivering a vintage-inspired P90 with the exact throaty vocal character and detail I had in mind for this instrument.

Products: Mc90 Set, nLux (N), Px (B)I recently had the chance to try out the Mc90s from Vitus Pickups while on tour, and I knew after the first gig with them that I had stumbled upon something truly special. The clarity, warmth, and punch of these pickups elevated my tone to a new level, and it was instantly inspiring. They have since quickly become a key part of my rig, and I’m incredibly inspired by how dynamic and versatile they are. On top of that, the team at Vitus has been nothing but passionate and supportive of my musical journey thus far. I spend most of my time on the road with Austin Giorgio or picking up sessions and gigs around Nashville, and I know the team at Vitus is going to play a big role in helping me push my sound exactly where it needs to go.
When I’m not playing guitar, you’ll find me at home with my wife chasing our four year old son around the house, usually with a baseball bat or fishing rod in hand. -

Products: Mighty Rigel (N), Px (B), Ellis Guitars Lion’s Mane Midtar JM Custom GuitarPlaying my Signature Series Lion’s Mane guitars from Ellis Guitars offers a load of versatility thanks to the custom wound humbucking “Mighty Rigel” neck pickup, and the “Px” bridge pickup set. Whether you want warm, smooth, buttery tone goodness, or loud, and proud, cut through the mix so everybody heard what you said tone, these pickups will get you there and everywhere in between. These pickups respond great to effects pedals, or you can (as I often do) just plug straight into your amp and cut loose! You’ll get a good rich tone either way. The Lion’s Mane Series keeps it simple with a concentric tone/volume knob and a three-way switch. When I started this endeavor, I wanted simple, and I wanted quality. That is exactly what Ellis Guitars put together for me…..TWICE (so far)!

Products: Px (B), Custom Ellis Guitars Bass, Ellis Guitars V, Ellis Guitars TeleAs a multi-instrumentalist, my axe is my weapon. When I go to pick one up, whether in a store or in my arsenal, I want something that is versatile. Something that can encompass vintage and familiar, yet the moment I want it to, we can change it up on a dime.
As the bassist of The Infamists my first goto on a bass is something that has great lows and low mids, while cutting through on the highest notes for the jams, because who doesn’t like to wail on high notes from time to time? Being in a 3 piece band is tricky because I want to be heard yet also felt, and not over step the guitar in the process. I also really like anything that can take pedals well. Especially my Pork N Pickle over drive from Way Huge. I have two on my board, one is always on as a flavor over drive and the second is my fuzz. If it can’t handle the fuzz, it doesn’t have a spot on my rack.
As the lead singer of The Static Creatures and as a solo artist I take a different approach to guitar. I play like Keith Richards, I want something that has blistering bass and mids, that cuts through and compliments the drums and low end. I play rhythm and expect to be heard in the mix, but more like the rug on the foundation. A decorative twist on the being the thing that drives the train. It’s possible that bass players can be guitar players, but especially when they serve the same function of driving the beat forward. That is my function in The Creatures. Start and stop the songs, and enjoy everything in between.
