Alnico 9 magnets (rare, expensive, and worth every penny) deliver crushing heaviness without the muddy bass that ceramics sacrifice. Scatter-wound for dynamic response, it makes pinch harmonics scream and palm-muted chugs cut through walls of distortion. Coil-split to 16k per coil and you've got humbucker-level output in single-coil mode. And here's the secret: it's shockingly usable clean; dark, deep, musical tones that prove this weapon has range.
